Installation Guide for Stable Diffusion

This guide provides clear and concise steps for downloading and installing the latest version of Stable Diffusion on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Follow the instructions carefully to set up the software successfully.

Operating System: Windows 10/11, macOS, or a compatible Linux distribution.
Hardware Requirements:
- For Windows: An NVIDIA GPU with at least 4GB VRAM is recommended.
- For macOS and Linux: A compatible GPU or CPU (though performance may vary).

Step-by-Step Installation

For Windows

Install Git:
Download Git from git-scm.com and install it, keeping the default settings.
Install Python:
Download Python 3.10.6 from python.org and ensure to check "Add Python to PATH" during installation.
Clone Stable Diffusion Repository:
Open File Explorer, navigate to where you want to install Stable Diffusion, create a new folder named "Stable Diffusion".

In the address bar of the folder, type CMD and press Enter to open Command Prompt.

Run the following command:

git clone https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui.git
```
Download a Stable Diffusion Model:
Visit Hugging Face and log in to download the model (e.g., Stable Diffusion v1.5). Rename it to model.ckpt.

Move this file into the stable-diffusion-webui/models/Stable-diffusion directory.
Run the Application:
In the stable-diffusion-webui folder, double-click webui-user.bat to start the application.

Similar to Windows, download a model from Hugging Face and place it in stable-diffusion-webui/models/Stable-diffusion.
